I. JOB SUMMARY:

Director of Solutions Development is responsible for setting the direction of the Solutions Development team, acting as a consultant  delivering business case analysis to identify appropriate solutions to operational challenges resulting in improved processes, efficiency, quality and client satisfaction.

II. JOB INFORMATION

Job Title:                      Director of Solutions Development

Employment Status:     Full Time (also negotiable as 6 month or 12 month contract)

Salary & Benefits:         Negotiable based on skills

Location:                      Vientiane, Laos or Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Reporting To:               Chief Operating Officer

Effective Date:              January 1, 2012

III. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

* Leads technology solutions support and recommendations within DDD

* Oversees solutions projects through all phases including

- Analysis

- Planning

- Requirements

- Allocation

- Design

- Implementation/Coding

- Integration

- Test/Debug

- Deployment of enterprise level software

- Maintenance and support

IV. QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.                                            

Primary Skills

- Project Management

- People Management

- Knowledge and experience in project planning, issue tracking and resolution

- Business accumen

- Initiative and ability to work independently

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Cultural Sensitivity and commitment to the social mission

Technical Skills 

Experience in the following would be preferred:

          – Programming: MS, NET, PHP, Java, Java Scrip, JSP, J2ME, J2EE, Python, C/C++, MATLAB,

          – Data Base Management Systems: MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, MYSQL, MS Access

          – Software/Tools: Visial studio, version control with sub version or MS visual source safe or others. Issue tracking software with JIRA.

          – Other: Ajax, NUnit, JUnit, Cruise Control, XML, CSS, Jasper Report, Dream Weaver, error logging, OCR, Digital Image Process, eBook and eBook conversion knowledge

Desirable Skills and Abilities

- Interest in travel and ability to adapt to other cultures

- Minimum 2 years experiences in supervisory position

- Project Management experience

- High level of fluency in English

- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a plus

- PMP Certification is an advantage
